| Cause | This is not a problem with itconfigure per se, but rather the X server software being used. Some X servers tend to deal poorly with Java based GUIs, in particular around the use of gradients and fonts. This is specially true for X server implementations such as Reflection X. |
| Resolution | Try using a different X server that provides better support for Java based GUI applications. Examples include Cygwin/X and Exceed. |
