What is JACC and what is the performance impact of keeping it ON ?

Resolution:

BAS supports J2EE 1.4 compatible way to allow plugging-in custom authorization providers. This is done using JACC APIs of J2EE 1.4.

In our performance testing, we have seen that there is about 5% performance degradation if partition's security is ON, and JACC feature is also enabled. This is due to some extra operations that JACC needs to perform. If this slight drop in performance is unacceptable to the users, they have the option to disable JACC.

Note that this 5% impact is only relevant if partition's security is ON.
