Problem installing VBJ451 on HPUX platforms and some possible workarounds

Problem:

Customer encounter problem while installing VisiBroker 4.5.1 for Java on HP-UX11.11:

/mum04wrk/cms7adm ->./setup
./setup[24]: /opt/java1.3/jre: Execute permission denied.
/mum04wrk/cms7adm ->

What should they look out for?

We would advise customer to download a new copy of VBJ451.

Please note that the following:

1) Company name must be "Inprise" and Serial keys are mandatory and they got to key in as it is stated otherwise it will not work for them.

2) There might be problem with the previous version of JDK1.3 that the customer is using, please download the JDK1.3 again and reinstall it.

Please point the "PATH=/opt/java/1.3/bin" right in front of the "PATH" while installing, as jdk is needed during installation.

3) set DISPLAY=xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:0.0 according to the machine if necessary.

4) Please note that this VBJ451 installation is a GUI and do not need interactively with the machine to complete the installation.

Please make sure that the file size after downloading is 15980 Kb.

There are only 3 files:

> ./setup

should start the GUI installation.
