Product: Xtradyne I-DBC

Version: ALL

Description:

Scripts do not work

Resolution:

Some scripts included in the DBC installation like proxyconfig.sh, checkproxy.sh and checksps.sh try to switch to the user xtradyne prior to executing.

This will only work if the home directory of this user exists.

The user xtradyne is created during the installation if it does not exist.

The home directory of this user is the installation directory (defaults to /usr/xtradyne on Linux and /opt/xtradyne on Solaris).

When de-installing the product the user xtradyne will not be deleted.

If upgrading to a newer DBC version and do not wish to use the default directory for installation, please ensure the user xtradyne is deleted prior to re-installing. Otherwise the user xtradyne will have the wrong (possibly non existing) home directory.
