Question/Problem Description

Substituting certain IP addresses with host names in IORs

Resolution

To allow certain server applications to use the host name in their IORs, while others use the IP address set the POA's host name in its well known addressing policy.

This can be achieved by passing the following argument to the server application at start-up:

  -ORBpolicies:well_known_addressing_policy:iiop:host <Your Hostname>
