How to download the latest version of Orbix 6.3.

Resolution

With the Orbix 6.3.7 release Micro Focus introduced a utility called “Request The Latest Version”. This utility can be used for all service packs after this release. Note the update will always be to the latest Service Pack, which at the time of writing was Orbix 6.3.8.

This facility is available to supported customers via the SupportLine website following these steps:

- Logon to Supportline
- Click on the ‘Product Updates’ link on the left hand side
- On the right hand side click the link that says “Request Latest Version”
- This will present with a screen like this:

- Select the Serial Number from the drop down list to upgrade, in this case Orbix Enterprise Runtime serial number.

- After hitting submit the download for the binaries from Supportline will be available.

- An email will also be sent
