Problem:
- Product: Borland Enterprise Server 5.x ( stand alone VBE)
- JDK:JDK 1.3.1_01

With standalone VB, starting components from command line results in the following error
"There is no valid license to run this product or component.Please make sure that a license enabling this product or component is installed correctly and it has not yet expired."
The <VBROKERDIR>/var directory seems missing.
Resolution:
Make sure that it is a complete installation of BES.
With standalone VBE5.x, the VBROKER_ADM variable needs to be set to VBROKER_ADM=<VBROKERDIR>/adm directory. There is a license.dat file in the "adm" directory since the "var" directory is not present in a VisiBroker stand-alone install.
