Compatibility
Compatibility with JDK 1.0.2
VisiBroker 4.5 is not compatible with JVMs that are compatible with JDK 1.0.2.
Compatibility with other VisiBroker for C releases
Compatibility with VisiBroker for C 4.0:
Compatibility with VisiBroker for C 3.x: VisiBroker 4.x is not binary- or source-compatible with releases 3.x and earlier. Please
regenerate your stubs and recompile your applications.
Interoperability with other VisiBroker releases
VisiBroker 4.5 is fully "on-the-wire" interoperable with VisiBroker 3.3 and later versions. It is "on-the-wire" interoperable with older
versions of VisiBroker as a client. VisiBroker 3.2 and older clients will not interoperate on-the-wire with VisiBroker 4.x servers.
Installation Instructions
Please follow the steps below to install the release:
Download the archive files when you receive the download links from Micro Focus. Platform information as follows.

- This release is packaged as a complete installation and requires a VBC 4.0 license key to install a licensed copy.
Windows users should run the installer application to proceed with installation.
Solaris, AIX, and HP-UX users should unpack the tar archive to a temporary location and run the setup installation script to proceed with the installation.
An evaluation copy can be installed by omitting the license key during installation.
