When the client invokes a method on a server with multi-profile IOR, will the call switch to the second server transparently if the first server is not available?

When the client invokes a method on a server with multi-profile IOR, will the call switch to the second server transparently if the first server is not available?

If the second server is killed and the first server is restarted, would it switch back? Is there a time limit on how long this behavior can continue?

Resolution:

If you are using a multi-profile IOR, the invocation will failover transparently to the second server as soon as the client gets information from the tcp layer that the first server is not available.

If you restart the first server after this and kill the second server, the invocation will again switch to the first server. This behavior will continue as long as one of the servers is up.
