Why is the crimson package from Apache not present in VBE 6.x onwards?
Resolution
The reason that the crimson parser package is missing from BES/VBE 6.x onwards is that Borland has replaced crimson with xerces as the XML parser.
Crimson is a tool that BES uses internally and there are no official recommendation/documentation stating that our customers should make use of it. If there are dependencies on crimson in the application, please obtain crimson directly from Apache.
