Just a heads up for anyone (like me !) who is not aware. Recent versions of D3 contain Accumath extended precision functions already loaded. I think in the distant past this package was an add-on, but now all the Basic callable functions are in dm,bp, or available directly as user exists.
Using Accumath you can easily achieve the 15-16 digit precision of a Java double, or the higher precision of a BigDecimal.
Seems to all work remarkable well.

You live and learn !
IMO, Rocket are awful about promoting their products. e.g. on their website there's UniData,UniVerse, jBase, OpenQM, D3..... which should I use, why are there 5 products which basically are the same, when/why should I choose A over B. I've asked if there's a product matrix, but nothing appears to be available. Don't know how they expect to grow their use base without putting information into the marketplace.

We use D3 as it is a direct descendant of the Pick system. The other flavors were the result of various licensees and their modifications or enhancements, I believe, down through the years. It appears that Rocket has effectively gathered and re-homed all of those back under a single umbrella. My personal experience is only with Ultimate, Pick and now D3, a very narrow, but effective path. Who knows, but I doubt if it will ever be cost effective or worth the grief for Rocket to consolidate all of those modifications under a single product badge.
We had the "wonderful" experience and expense of doing that with our application, as its prior owner had made custom changes at various sites before we obtained the product. It was well over a year of gathering all of the code necessary from those sites to add the switches and accommodations to come up with a comprehensive release that could be used to upgrade all. This set the course properly going forward while maintaining those custom changes for those who wanted them.
