I'm doing a D3 v10.3.4 install and right off the bat I get:
d3depends for RHEL/ CentOS 9 - x86_64 [$YUM0] 0.0 B/s | 0 B 00:01
Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'd3depends':
- Curl error (9): Access denied to remote resource for ftp://d3mv-repo:d3getRep0@ftp.rocketsoftware.com/RedHatEnterpriseServer/9.4/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml [Server denied you to change to the given directory]
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'd3depends': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried
/etc/redhat-release contains: Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 9.4 (Plow)
i manually installed the packages listed and the install works (well it did until it tried to create a disk partition, but that's a whole separate issue..)
Someone should create the file for 9.4 so this doesn't catch anyone else. :)
tnx.

i just created an account on the forum here because i ran into the same problem
in the process of setting up a new box so we can migrate from an old centos7 install. good to know it'll work once we take care of the dependencies manually

Gene (and others): The problem was that we do not have a dependency repository for 9.4 posted yet. The simple workaround is to edit /etc/redhat-release and change the 9.4 to 9.3, then run D3_setup, then change /etc/redhat-release back to 9.4.
As far as partitions go, I put together a tutorial on "simplfying" the D3_setup process. I've attached hereto. Extract the .ZIP file, navigate to the folder, double click the .HTML file and read. Most of the document has to do with working around D3_setup's management of the partitions. I have found that it's easier to create your pick0 file BEFORE running D3 setup, then just run D3_setup and "install with current settings".
The last topic covers loading dependencies by hand. There are some dependencies in that topic's list that are not installed by D3_setup but are nice to have, like openssl-devel. Please give the document at look and share with others who may find it useful. Thanks.

I love the updated info in the "D3 Support School" file. You got any more of those? :D
I tried editing the /etc/redhat-release file to 9.3 and still got an error.

Suggestions? (I'll go ahead and get all the packages installed by hand, but I'm curious to see how this should be resolved.)
Thanks again!

Hi Gene,
Try changing /etc/redhat-release to 9.2 instead of 9.3.
