MVSP for Java already exists on D3 Linux. (and works remarkably well). Not sure why you'd want the .NET components on a Linux server ?

I know that MVSP for Java exists - I've used it.  However, I have a lot of well tested and stable code that uses the .NET version of MVSP and I've got no desire to port it, especially considering .NET is a first class citizen in Linux environments.

I'm a bit confused as to what your setup is. Do you have workstations running Linux and .NET and you want the .NET MVSP library to connect to your D3 server ?

I've got a number of client applications that run on Windows desktop machines as well as Windows servers.  My D3 hosts are all Linux.

Unfortunately, my D3 systems are hosted on someone else's computer, so my server processes aren't network-local to the D3 systems.  This means performance is pretty dismal most of the time due to network constraints.

I want to be able to move some of my more egregious performance problems to the same hosts that D3 itself is running on.  The only way I'm going to do that is by leveraging the .NET version of MVSP on the Linux hosts.

This irrelevant explanation of what I'm doing did jog my memory - I'd been sent a pre-release version of MVSP .NET that had been built for .NET 6.0+, so I'm going to go chase that down.  Apologies for the noise.

Excuse me, there's a kid eyeing my lawn so I need to disabuse the little rat of his apparent intention of putting his feet on it. ;)
