Yes, but the whole D3 system and PICK before it was built independent of
the operating system. We have moved our software from R83, AP/PRO,
Mandrake, Mandriva and finally CentOS simply by backing up and then
restoring it on the new system. New hardware, new OS and a couple of
hours later, all up and running and back in business. We could have even
used an AP/DOS or a Windows version, so the underlying OS is, or was,
basically inconsequential.

It is noteworthy that RaspBerry Pi is ARM.
I am pining for a Windows-11 machine _ where Windows costs more than the hardware it runs on _ the $200 price point.
Is this _ the next British Invasion?

I am very excited about the new Apple M1 (ARM) chip.  M1's benchmarks are _ the fastest _ with amazing low power. RISC is back. As M1 is 8-core _ the OS matters.  Is UniVerse multi-threaded?  Is UniData multi-threaded?  Is D3 multi-threaded?
It is noteworthy that RaspBerry Pi is ARM.
