I personally do not use ED but we still have a developer that likes to use it and was questioning if there's a config or jBASE environment variable that we can set that will allow him to locate variables regardless of upper/lower case?

ED in jBASE is a limited version and does not have any case insensitivity features or configuration options.
jED has always been promoted as the editor of choice on jBASE.
