does anyone in this group have a standardized test plan they use when upgrading RHEL/Linux in general that they can share?

if not a plan, testing suggestions?

Unfortunately, I do not. When I worked for TigerLogic in QA, we had a bunch of test plans for D3 itself. That won't help you. Best you can do is get several users with different perspectives of the application ( order taker, shipper, bookkeeper, manager ) to run every aspect of the application, including day-end, month-end, year-end, whatever. No substitute for doing the testing work.
