Rocket API & Modern Experience 10.6.4
- AI-assisted UX modernization: New MCP tools in the MX & Automation Workbench (via the Eclipse MCP server), callable from GitHub Copilot chat. Describe what you need in plain language and the tools pull documentation, write/fix JavaScript, or run theme and Smart Build tasks.
- Deployment Scheduler: Schedule API/gateway/MX web app deployments from the Hub for off-hours windows, with full lifecycle management of scheduled entries.
- Production-readiness: Health probes in the MX web engine/servlet Docker images (Kubernetes/OpenShift ready), new OpenTelemetry metrics for Rocket API and MX, HTTP PATCH support on the API engine, and session-level support packages for faster troubleshooting.
- AI Code modularization for free-format RPG: The VS Code extension helps break large RPG/SQLRPGLE routines into smaller procedures and extract shared logic into service programs.
- Ask RDO: A chat interface over your RDOi SCM data: plain-English questions about checkouts, promotions, or failed deployments, with watches/alerts and a standard MCP endpoint for VS Code, Claude Desktop, or any MCP-capable client.
- Delta releases with Git integration: Delta Releases now inherit Base Release Git bindings and sync bi-directionally with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket (on-prem or cloud), with Git user mapping and optional branch binding.
- Static code analysis: A new integrated SCA framework for IBM i native-language code, catching security and quality issues before manual review would.
