Problem:
Enterprise View (EV) login screen is not centred on the screen and has a thick black border. Other windows displayed in EV have a thick border and when you try to move a window it blanks out the screen.
Why is this happening and how can this be avoided?
Resolution:
EV requires that the compatibilities options are turned on when using the newer versions of Internet Explorer (IE). For IE version 10, the compatibility view can be turned on in two places.
The main place is the developer tools, which is either selected via the tools menu or the F12 key. When setting the compatibility mode, it only needs to be set to IE10 compatibility view, it does not need to be set to an earlier browser setting.
The second place is the compatibility view, which is also available from the tools menu. The compatibility view can only be toggled on or off.
Attached to this wiki is a document with a number of screenshots. The first one shows the issue with the login screen, the second shows the login screen when compatibility mode is turned on. The third and fourth show how to turn on the compatibility view.
