Problem:
After installing EDE231.EXE the previous License Manager version has been deleted.
Solution:
License Manager should not install if a newer version is already installed
When the License Manager msi is run during the install, if a newer version of the License Manager is already installed, the License Manager should not change that new install.
For example, LM version 100.2.02090 was installed by EA 3.6 when LM version 100.2.02160 was already installed by ED 2.3. Ideally, the LM version included with EA 3.6 would have skipped the install because a newer version was already present.
A workaround for this problem is to repair the licensing install and copy the CCI.INI file to the current directory of the session starting Eclipse.
The fix for this issue is in Enterprise Analyzer 3.6 Update 1 and Visual Cobol/Enterprise Developer 2 Update 2 which addresses the situation for any MF products that install the License Manager.
