Problem:

Application Data View does not appear to work for normal metrics.

Why is this happening?

Resolution:

Within the Application Data View (APD) part of Enterprise View (a web interface that allows users to create charts and dashboards based on the metrics that are collected when entities in a workspace are verified), it does not display normal metrics. APD only works with metrics that are defined as external.

External metrics can be loaded into Enterprise View via the import utility and can be assigned to tags that have been created within the workspace that is being used by Enterprise View.

Application Data View allows users to create charts based on this data.

The standard charts and graphs that are created in Enterprise View will work with the metrics that have been gathered during the verification process in Enterprise Analyzer, or the surveys and questionnaires that a user has created in Enterprise View (EV).

Note: to make use of the latest metrics, the Update Trending Snapshot process must have been run and completed. This needs to be run from an Enterprise Analyzer session connected to the relevant Workspace.
