On IBM Mainframe CICS Applications PPT are required for BMS maps and COBOL programs. Are they needed for Enterprise Server CICS Applications?

CICS PPT definitions are not required for Enterprise Server COBOL programs and CICS BMP Maps.

The system will dynamically locate and create a PPT Entry when needed. There are some performance benefits to be gained by omitting PPT definitons for in your region.

Some PPT entries may still be needed to specify specialist items such as CICS Data Tables.
