Problem:
I use Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0 and have created a Mainframe Subsystem Application project. I now would like to associate my project with a remote Enterprise Server region hosted on a remote Windows 7 computer.
I opened the Server Explorer view, and set the remote Windows 7 machine name in Host name field ( Right clicking on Micro Focus Servers MFDS configuration ) but don't see the Enterprise Server regions on the remote Windows 7 machine.

Resolution:
On the remote Windows 7 machine, using the Microsoft Windows 7  standard Windows firewall:
Advancing setting:
Inbound rule >New rule Program
ProgramPath = PATH of mfds.exe in [EE 6.0 install DIR\\base\\bin\\mfds.exe
Allowed for Domain & Private & Public
Any Local IP & Remote IP Address

Inbound rule >New rule Program
ProgramPath = PATH of mfcs.exe in [EE 6.0 install DIR\\base\\bin\\mfcs.exe
Allowed for Domain & Private & Public
Any Local IP & Remote IP Address

Restart computer
You should now be able to Associate a remote Enterprise Server region hosted on Windows
