I am using VS studio in Micro Focus Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0 SP2 HotFix 04 but i am unable to figure out BMS Painter Option.
Project type i am using is COBOL Project > NATIVE >> mainframe subsystem
i have another product Enterprise developer where i am able to spot BMS Painter the option easily.
Difference i am able to spot is version of Visual studio 2008 for former and 2010 in enterprise developer.
Plus .net frame work 3.5 v/s 4.0 in enterprise developer.
#EnterpriseDeveloperI believe that in Studio EE 6.0, the BMS Painter is only available in the Net Express IDE, not in Visual Studio. You can create your BMS source using the Net Express IDE. From the Start menu, open All Programs, Micro Focus Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0, Compatibility Tools, and select "Net Express".
Once you've created your BMS source, you can copy the .BMS file to your Visual Studio project's source directory, and add it to your Visual Studio project. To update it, you can edit the source directly, or open it in the Net Express BMS Painter again.
See "BMS Painter Basics" in the Studio documentation for more information. Open "Net Express Help" (also in the Compatibility Tools folder), then go to Programming, Mainframe Support, Mainframe Subsystem Support Developer's Guide, Part 2: CICS Support, 3: BMS Screen Painter Basics.

#EnterpriseDeveloperThanks Michael, It really helped. What i did is almost same. I added Net Express as editor in Visual Studio using "OPEN WITH" option. provided the path "\\Base\\Bin\\MFNETX.EXE"
