Problem:
Customer is trying to set up an alternate 3270 emulator for MFIMS and HOD (IBM Host On Demand).
Resolution:
To use a different emulator, update the MFIMS.INI and IMS configuration on each of the workstations you roll out. You can update the configuration programmatically using the IMS86GIO interface. See CALLGIO for an example of how to do this. As for the MFIMS.INI, you can see if one exists and if not just copy the new one in. If one does exist, you can rename it and copy the new one in and put out a message from your program saying to review the old and new ones. CALLGIO.CBL and IMS86GIO.TXT can be found in the MFE\\MFIMS\\SOURCE directory.
