Can I use a MVS name in the CICS FCT?

Problem:

I want to use a MVS dataset name in the CICS FCT so I can identify the physical PC file.

Can I do this in MFE CICS?

Resolution:

Yes. Go to the FCT Overrides tab. From there one can enter a MVS name that matches the PC physical file. Now you can toggle between the FCT's 'use catalog' tab and the CICS FCT without tying yourself to the Catalog, but you can still retain the identity of the physical file.
