Problem:

When trying to delete a host QSAM dataset, a customer reported that they were receiving a RACF error. The customer is able to delete the same dataset in TSO or from a FTP command prompt.

Error message received was:

   MFDAS01 the user profile is not defined to RACF

There are three groups of users, two cannot delete files, and one group can.

Resolution:

This was  traced to a RACF problem.  Typing "AD ('mytsoid.*')" at a TSO ready prompt, gave the user a RACF profile. Once that was done, there was no problem deleting datasets from the mainframe via Drag & Drop.
