Hello,
How to resolve this error. I had verified below:
- on the Enterprise Server Administration web page, click on the "Edit" button of the running ES region.
Click on the "MSS" tab and ensure "Mainframe Subsystem Support enabled" is ticked. Then click on the
JES tab underneath to ensure the "Job Entry Subsystem enabled" is also ticked.
Still I am getting the error. I don't have any Unix file or environment, so I don't think it's a UNIX file permission issue.
Your help in this will be hightly appreciated. Thank you.

#EnterpriseServerHi Jitendra
Couple of question
a) which product you are using ?
b) How you are submitting the job ?? Browser or Command Line
c) are you able to see JES
""On the left hand side of the ESMAC web page, there's a "Resources" dropdown list and you should see
"JES" listed as being available"". ??
Thanks Cheeta

#EnterpriseServerHi Cheeta,
a) I am using Micro Focus Enterprise Developer Edition, it's evaluation copy (I can able to execute CICS programs, ACCT demo project. Now I am trying to execute BANKDEMO batch/jcl project).
b) Go to COBOL explorer, choose BANKDEMO project, select the jcl to be executed, right click and click on 'Submit to Enterprise Server'.
c) on ESMAC page, I can't see JES in Resource dropdown, and that seems to be problem. How to activate/enable it?
Please suggest.
Thank you.

#EnterpriseServerSo the server you're running under has the Mainframe Subsystem Support enabled and the Job Entry Subsystem enabled checkboxes selected, as in this screenshot?
http://screencast.com/t/vkO5IMVSj061
Have you restarted the server since you configured JES?
In the server's console log, do you see the message "JES00005I Job Entry Subsystem (JES) services initialized", as in this screenshot?

#EnterpriseServerHello, first screen shot you mentioned above is applied. Second screen shot, I am getting the message that "4292 BANKDEMO JES000052E Job Entry Subsystem (JES) initialization failed. Environment improperly configured.". I was trying to resolve this, change the system catalog name under JES. I am not sure how to resolve "the Default Allocation Location is invalid or unusable" and how to change "•the environment variable MFALLOC_PROP is set". Please suggest. Thanks.

#EnterpriseServerHello,
under Server -> Properties -> MSS -> JES -> General
Can you tell me the values in each field. If the value is a variable, can you also send me the value of the variable. (environment variable when the Server starts up or in Server -> Properties -> General - Configuration Information)
Best regards

#EnterpriseServerThank you so much for asking me right question. The environment variable was pointing at wrong folder, which I was not aware what that variable means. Now I changed the variable, it's working now, JES is enables, I can submit the job now.
Appreciate your time on this.
Cheers
