Problem:

When trying to start Enterprise Server it starts and instantly terminates with the error:  CASSI1403S Error initializing TS/TD file TXTSNR, reason = (9,009)

There are other errors, but this is the first one in the Console log.

Resolution:

This usually means there is something incorrect in the SIT information.

To resolve this, go to Enterprise Server Admin and click Edit for the Server. Go to Server - Properties - MSS tab and in CICS remove the name of the System Initialization Table BUT make sure you remember what this is.

Now start the server and the default SIT will be used. Once the Server is started, Edit and go to Resources - By Group - and select SIT and the SIT you were using.  Scroll down to the Temp Storage and Transient Data Areas.  Is there a path that is not valid listed here?

If you see a problem, change it, stop the server, go to Server - Properties - MSS tab and in CICS add back the name of the System Initialization Table and restart.
