Problem:

When opening a Mainframe Express (MFE) project and selecting the Catalog tab, my display is showing only a partial list of all my catalog entries. It does not default to display a wildcard for the filter of an '*'.

Resolution:

We recently changed MFE v3.0 to do function in this manner.  This behavior is as expected.

The behavior is needed for customers who have very large projects. If the project defaulted to "*", which was the old behavior, then you could have significant project load times as the catalog view

is built.  (If it's the last active view).

Retaining the last catalog filter is in keeping with the mainframe behavior of ISPF Option 3.4. If you change it on the host, you will see that the last applied catalog filter is retained when you revisit option 3.4.
