Problem:

How can we change the default user "MFUSER" to another authorized user to access ESMAC regions.

Solution:

Using this environment variable on the region you want for say "READONLY" users and not the default user "MFUSER".

Set the variable below:

ES_USR_DFLT_ESMAC=mfuser to ES_USR_DFLT_ESMAC=Readonly.

Make sure you have another way to logon to the region as the system administrator (Sysad); that will allow someone to modify and update if necessary in this region.

Using the environment variable the default user "MFUSER" can be overwriiten by the user of your choice.

Please Note:

MIcro Focus advise against disabling or changing the default user "MFUSER"; if you don’t have other users that can modify in this region for administration duties.
