Problem:
The error: COBCH0672S COPY nested within COPY REPLACING has been encountered on several occasions when compiling COBOL batch programs.
Resolution:
To avoid this error, simply use the directive HIDEMESSAGE(672) which will suppress the error but not precent the program from being built or compiled cleanly.
