The installation folder for MW must be readable and writable by the MW user before the user can configure MW.

Problem:

The MW Configuration Manager fails with the PackageExtractor error “Unable to copy to ."

Resolution:

On the File > Properties > Security tab for the MW Installation folder, set the MW user's permissions to allow Full Control. By default, the installation folder is C:\\Program Files\\Modernization Workbench.

Note: In Windows Vista, you must set the administrator's permissions for the MW installation folder explicitly. You can do that by listing the administrator on the Security tab for the folder.
