Control-M/Agent does not kill child processes of a Control-M job running on a Micro focus server

Hi All,

Greetings!!

A problem has been identified when killing micro focus job via Control-M client (Scheduling tool), Only the job is failing in control m side, but the job continues running in Enterprise server (MFC spool) until Micro focus admin manually kill/cancel the corresponding job from active queue.

Note : The Control M scheduler executes the module MFBSIJCL,  by executing a script MFBSI submit script

Testing Observations:

1) Executed one of the test job and killed after few minutes in control M client side . Noticed that MFBSIJCL process got terminated in the task manager when the job was killed via control-m but the job was in execution state in MFC spool

2) PID of MFBSIJCL  and PID of the job which was executing in ES are different

3) ES_JOB_KILL = NO is already commented out in MFBSI.Cfg file that means its using default ES-JOB-KILL=YES

Do we need to do anything(changing  from micro focus end to kill the child process (End process tree) or BMC control - M need to do something to enable this functionality.

Kindly assist !!!

Thanks
