Describes how to correct the error "Skipping Extract Files" received during installation of MW EE for the Workgroup (Oracle silent installation).
Problem:
Installation of MW EE for the Workgroup fails with the error “Skipping Extract Files <file name>" when the TEMP user environment variable contains special characters.
Resolution:
Change the value of the TEMP user environment variable temporarily so that it does not contain offending characters, then run the installation program again:
Note: Make a note of the current value so that you can restore it after completing installation of MW EE for the Workgroup.
- Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment Variables.
- Select the TEMP user environment variable and click Edit. The Edit User Variable dialog opens.
- In the Variable value field, remove the offending characters from the variable value and click OK. Click OK to dismiss the Environment Variables window.
- Run the MW EE for the Workgroup installation program.
