For this thread, I would like to mention that whenever you are executing applications with Micro Focus -- the execution is done in Micro Focus Enterprise Server (ES). If you have followed all the other threads, the execution of BANKDEMO came with an already configured Micro Focus Enterprise Server, for the batch and online application. What I want to direct you to, is the documentation training regarding on how to customize your own Micro Focus Enterprise Server. See how, and at the end tell me if it wasn't much easier than you thought!
Here is how:
- Introduction for Eclipse and Visual Studio 2010
- Starting Eclipse and Starting Visual Studio 2010
- Creating the Server in Eclipse and Visual Studio 2010
- Configuring the Server in Eclipse, Part I and Part II
- Starting the new Server in Visual Studio 2010
- Submitting the job in Eclipse and Visual Studio 2010
- Debugging a batch COBOL app in Eclipse and Visual Studio 201
- Executing and debugging of a CICS app in Eclipse (execute, debug) and Visual Studio 2010
You probably have noticed already that in order to accomplish the same results, Eclipse and Visual Studio requires different steps due to how the IDE was built. Keep in mind that all functions and features are available on both IDEs, and the underline technology is exactly the same.
