Problem:

The installation of Mainframe Access Server references MFAS and MFAAS. What are these?  What function do they perform?

Resolution:

MFA is the Mainframe Access host server for Drag & Drop, Compare and Synchronize Monitor, Data Connect and Source Connect.

MFAS is the auxiliary server for Data Connect. Many customers use this support for large host datasets that are accessed infrequently.

MFAAS is the auxiliary server for Endevor or Changeman. If you do not use Endevor or Changeman, then that portion of the MFA host Server install can be ignored.
