In this thread I will direct you to the one of the most exciting features of Enterprise Developer Team Edition - the debugging capabilities of your batch application. In the documentation they will be using the BANKDEMO application once again, as to make it easy to bring you up to speed. You will be familiar with the following features:

  • Configuring a Debug session.
  • Stepping through program code during debugging.
  • Setting breakpoints, both conditional and unconditional.
  • Displaying and monitoring values of data items during program execution.
  • Modifying the value of any data item during a debug run session.

Note: If you are not able to successfully debug the BANKDEMO app, it could be because you haven't activated Enterprise Developer Team Edition.

Now, debugging batch applications:

  1. Setting up the server for JCL debugging in Eclipse and Visual Studio 2010
  2. Debugging an application in Eclipse and Visual Studio 2010
  3. Debugging detail in Eclipse and Visual Studio 2010
    1. Demo - Debugging details in Eclipse and Visual Studio 2010

See next how to debug CICS applications!
