Hi

we define an extra partition TD queue pointing to an existing file and an existing path with initial state = open , file type=normal. print attributes= No control , I/O type=Output and Disposition =MOD

But the region starts we get

CASAM2022E Error opening extra partition destination (CSSl) group(XFHOPER) status=(3,009)

file=status=1 means open error

file=statis=9 means error

What RTS error means? How can I solve the problem?

Best regards and thanks in advance

Hi Horacio,

Assuming you are on product version 9.0, if we take the error code CASAM2022E and check that in the product documentation, URL:
https://www.microfocus.com/documentation/enterprise-developer/ed90/ED-VS2022/CASAM2022.html

Your error shows: status=(3,009) so we can assume the file-status-2 of 9 indicates an RTS error 9, RTS 009 is this:
https://www.microfocus.com/documentation/enterprise-developer/ed90/ED-VS2022/HRERRHRERR0B.html
See text excerpt:
###
COBRT009 Directory not found (Recoverable)
The system cannot write to the specified directory for one of the following reasons:
The directory does not exist
The directory is full
Your program cannot find the directory
Resolution:
Create the directory if it does not already exist. If the directory is full, either delete any files that you no longer need or, if your operating system supports this, redirect your program's file operations to alternative storage. Alternatively, specify a different drive or directory for your file operations.
###
I recommend you to check that the path/directory you are setting is valid, also that the users involved have sufficient permissions to access the files/directory.

Hi Kim

Thanks for your reply ,

Here is how I define the TD extraparttion queue. I assume that the path extension refers to file extension.

The file exits and the owner is microfocus id ,

but when the regions starts ,it gives the (3,0009) error.

Is there any other check to find the error cause?

Thanks you very much

Hi Horacio,

You can confirm that the file has sufficient permissions, also as a test you can try a different file (e.g. with shorter path)  to see if that error persists or not, or try to rename the existing file, does the error change at all?

Hi,

Which product version are you using, also is the region / this area of configuration in a PAC at all? Has this worked before or is it s new environment being setup?

Note, The use of extra-partition queues is unsupported in a PAC.

This may require further detailed investigation, with that in mind I recommend you to consider raising a support case to seek further assistance where my support colleagues can recommend e.g. what tracing to use if appropriate such as CTF or file handler trace. When raising the case please consider to include all information about the error, the environment such as product version/O.S and version, also generate a MFESDIAGS diagnostics collection (just after the issue is seen) and attach that to the case' FTS area for review.
