Hi,

I'm new to Eclipse (I used it just once in an portable app version to write a helloworld code in java) and I'm running Windows7. I'm having some problems.

When I start the EDPE I get this 2 warnings:
1) "Initializing Java Tooling" has encountered a problem.
An internal error occurred during:"Initializing Java Tooling".
com/microfocus/eclipse/project/content/ContentType

2) Initializing: Cannot communicate with licensing daemon.

I'm also having some issues with the authorization process too.
When I go to Automatic authorization it encountered and error:
adding feature: Error[131]: Client library is not in initialized state.

Manual Auth option by mail gives me this: MG0101: Codes missing.

Plus, I have received a mail saying my product is activated, which I don't think it is: "Hi Guadalupe
,Thanks for activating your copy of Enterprise Developer Personal Edition. Your new mainframe
applications experience starts today...".

Any ideas what is happenning? or how I could resolve this issues?

Thanks in advance,
Guadalupe.

Hi Guadalupe,

Your first issues looks like it may be caused by a problem in the Eclipse platform that we've seen (bugs.eclipse.org/.../show_bug.cgi)

You should be able to work around this if you start EDPE in a new empty workspace.

I'm not sure what's causing the second issue though. But the first one is usually the root cause of many subsequent problems.

Can you provide also the error log - the .log file is located in your workspace folder?

Regards,

George

Hi George, thanks for your reply. I'll check that link for the first issue.

I've changed my workspace folder many times (to be sure it will be empty) but the problem still persist. Here's the log file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/65060016/.log

Hi Guadalupe,

As it seems the issue that I pointed out has nothing to do with your problem.

The root problem seems to be that the client licensing library doesn't get initialized. I am not sure how this has happened though. Have you tried to completely uninstall EDPE and the Micro Focus License Manager and then reinstalling them?

Regards,

George
