When trying to start Enterprise Server with Mainframe Transaction Option (MTO) some errors occurred, even when Net Express 5.0 with ES/MTO was installed and working successfully on other machines with the same configurations.

Problem:

When trying to start Enterprise Server with Mainfraime Transaction Option (MTO), it failed to start even though Net Express 5.0 with ES/MTO is installed and working successfully on other machines with the same configuration. The following errors in the log.html are occurring:

1. Stop the Micro Focus Directory Server (MFDS)

2. Do a search for usr.dat

3. Delete usr.dat in the MFDS directory (if using security, there should always be a backup of this file kept)

4. Restart the MFDS, and there should be a new usr.dat created

5. Restart the server, and if usr.dat fails to be created make sure a cciuser.dat exists (default is found base/bin)
