Problem:
The login screen for Enterprise View (EV) is displayed and a user can login, but the display of the main screen starts to load and does not complete. The message "loading data please wait" is displayed and then system hangs without the load completing. Why is this happening and how can this be avoided?
Resolution:
EV requires that the compatibilities options are turned on when using the newer versions of Internet Explorer (IE). From IE version 11, IE has changed the way that the compatibility options are set.IE will try to automatically turn on compatibility mode when you enter a website, so that compatibility mode is not always set on.
The problem is that IE v11 does not always identify that a website needs compatibility mode, so does not always turn in on for sites that need it. To help with this issue, there is now a compatibility sites option under the tools menu that you can use to force IE to go into compatibility mode when it goes to that site.
The localhost site, or the name of the machine that hosts EV needs to be entered in here.
Attached to this wiki is a document with a number of screenshots. The first two show the issue, the third and fourth show how to set the compatibility site. The document assumes that you are accessing a local version of EV on the standard port.

Note: Once you have navigated to a site, you can open up the compatibility site option from the tools menu and then add the current site to the list of compatibility sites.
