I'm using Enterprise Server and during the start of a region I get the following error:

The client is a Windows 2008 R2 server (from where I try to start the region) and through an ODBC driver, making an ssh connection to a dedicated SQL Server 2008 server.

Has anyone ever encountered this error?

    Hi,

    Your connection to the SQL data base did not get up. In order to find out which is the issue, you should add to the connection string : DbgFl=0x7 (in "XA" TAB of the region).

    and see the logs where there recorded on your side. In many case, it is a problem of credentials, or Sql client installation.

    The client is a Windows 2008 R2 server (from where I try to start the region) and through an ODBC driver, making an ssh connection to a dedicated SQL Server 2008 server.

    Has anyone ever encountered this error?

    Hi giomar,

    The DbgFl=0x7 option is specific to Oracle XA defintions so will have no impact when using SQL Server switch module.

    A -3 error indicates a connection error. To obtain further diagnostics refer to:-

    community.microfocus.com/.../2271.database-access-support-within-enterprise-server.aspx

    or our docs at:-

    documentation.microfocus.com/.../HRADRHXASW01S003.html

    The CTF Trace we document in the docs link should show the actual error returned back from the connection attempt.

    If you still hitting issues please raise a Support Case so the problem can be investigated in more detail.

    I configured and generated log as explained in "community.microfocus.com/.../2271.database-access-support-within-enterprise-server.aspx" end now finding:

    I have taken the test by ODBC driver with the same parameters used in section XA but it works regularly.
