Problem:
When parsing with the following PROC statement:
//U0X107SF PROC LOTTO=&LOTTO,AC=AC,PPP=PPP,GRP=GRP,AC7=
the folllowing error message is encountered and it is necessary to shut down.
Micro Focus Revolve has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".
It is then possible to click on a button to generate an error report from Microsoft.
If the PROC command is changed to:
//U0X107SF PROC LOTTO=TLOTTO,AC=AC,PPP=PPP,GRP=GRP,AC7=
ie. changing the "&" character to "T" , then the error no longer occurs.
It is not always feasible to change all the PROC statements in this way.
By re-parsing the project, this phase will finish correctly without the abend.
How can this be avoided
Resolution:
The error occurs in version 7.002 of Revolve but the problem has been addressed and will be fixed in the next fixpack release with the addition of a new DLL.
This DLL is attached to this Knowledge Base article.
