Problem:

We have seen various errors when starting a CICS region. They almost seem to come and go. Can you point us to a solution? Here are some of the errors we have seen:

TXCF0057S config-module: Error reading project configuration data, token = config-token

....

TXSI1709S Error, region already running

....

TXCD0056S

Resolution:

  All these errors and a few others (notably TXCD, TXCF or TXSI prefix errors)

can be resolved if a CICS Region fails to start by ensuring that the MFE project has a Working Output folder pointing to a location where the programmer has Read and Write authority. MFE30 requires at least one Workgroup level to contain a Working Output folder under the Output Libraries folder.
