I'm afraid your description is not clear. What are you doing where you expect to be prompted for user credentials?
Note that configuring External Security does not in itself enable secure mode for a number of ES components, including the MFDS Enterprise Server Administration and CAS ESMAC web user interfaces. Please consult the product documentation, including these topics:
