Hi,

will there be any issue/impact if es version is downgraded for any purpose? Eg: from ES 7.0 to ES 5.0

Hi Noel, I am not sure why you would need to consider that, but if you do downgrade please keep in mind to recompile/re-deploy your application code, rebuild your XA switch, also there may be other components to take a similar approach on. As I am not familiar with your application requirements I recommend you to seek help from consulting services that can work with you if further assistance is required..

Thanks Kim, What about version Upgrade from ES 5.0 to ES 7.0. Whether version 7.0 will cause any instability until we move on to install the latest patch updates?

Hi Noel, for that scenario I do not expect you to encounter any instability. It is recommended to review the product readme file to understand what the new version includes to see if that may affect your application/configuration, to be prepared. In the unlikely event that you encounter an issue hen please consider to raise a support case and include useful information u=such as a MFESDIAGS diagnostics collection for review.

Hi Kim,

Can you guide me is there anyway i can find out what bug/issue identified in ES 7.0 has been rectified in the PU. In the release  notes it is not directly mentioned anything that the issue identified in base product has been fixed in this patch etc.

The readme typically contains sections for: Known issue and restrictions, new features, significant changes in behaviour, resolved issues, I recommend you to review those sections to see if anything in those may affect your application/scenario.
