The best way to export IMS Region definitions and to import them back in with any modifications is to use the CALLGIO and CALLGIO2 Cobol sample programs. 

The problem in Studio 6.0 is that these were omitted from the documentation. If you have MFE, Mainframe Express, they are in the mfe\\mfims\\source directory. 

If you do not have MFE, then please contact Support and we can provide a copy of CALLGIO.CBL, CALLGIO2.CBL and their Readme file, IMS86GIO.TXT.
