Problem:
MFA provides exit points for both drag & drop and syncmon. This enables users to automatically manipulate the downloaded members. It is possible to animate these exits using MFE.
MFDASIMP executes after a successful drag and drop
MFMONIMP executes after a member is imported via Syncmon
Resolution:
To debug MFDASIMP, compile the program to .int or .gnt using the non-mainframe dialect
Exit MFE
Start an MFE command prompt
Cd to the loadlib containing mfdasimp.(int or gnt)
Start MFE from the command line by entering MFE <enter>
Open your project containing the mfdasimp source
Select Debug > Start Debugging from the main menu
Select the 'Non-mainframe' tab on the 'Start Debugging' dialog
enter MFDASMX as the name of the program to debug
The drag and drop interface will start
Drag a member to the workstation
Once the member has successfully been downloaded, the debugger will start for mfdasimp
Step through the program as with any COBOL program
To debug MFMONIMP, follow the above procedure, using MFMONMX as the name of the program to debug instead of MFDASMX.
