Problem:

Enterprise Analyzer is delivered with specific database tables within its repository.

The fields defined for Business Rules Technical and Business Descriptions, default to 4000 characters.

If a larger description field is required, how can this be completed.?

Resolution:

A "plug-in" has been developed to enable the Technical and Business description fields to be extended to 6000 characters.

( NOTE : this plug-in can only be used on Enterprise Analyzer 3.3 with Hot Fix 10 or above installed)

To use the plug-in...

- Place the attached file ( BRM.plugin.xml ) into the <Enterprise Analyzer installation directory>/PLUGINS directory.

- Navigate to the <Enterprise Analyzer installation directory>/BIN directory, and run RESCAN.EXE "As Administrator"

- When the Workspace Configuration dialogue is displayed, click the OK button and let the configuration complete.

- Upgrade any existing workspace to implement the change.
