Problem

When installing Enterprise Analyzer the following error is reported in the install.log

Installing using command 'C:\\Users\\lyn3435\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\VSD7BCA.tmp\\DotNetFX40\\dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe' and parameters ' /q /norestart /ChainingPackage FullX64Bootstrapper' Process exited with code -939523550

This stops the installation, how can this be avoided..?

Resolution

This is basically caused by the inclusion of the DotNet functionality within the Windows installation & updates

The problem is fixed by installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and then installing Enterprise Analyzer again.
